Hope you’re doing good — in this video I’m back talking One UI 8 and five features that are actually worth trying right now. A lot of this update is Samsung taking stuff we’ve already had in the ecosystem and cleaning it up, refining it, and making it easier to use day-to-day. I start with the new Quick Share changes, because Samsung (and Google) finally made sharing feel more modern with an updated menu and a big new option: allowing sharing over the internet, so you’re not strapped to Wi‑Fi to finish a transfer. From there I jump into the Phone app updates, where you get easier access and more control around Call Assist features like text call, live translate, and call recording — plus the ability to pull transcripts from recorded calls. I also show the updated Profile Card flow in Contacts, which makes it way easier to edit your card, pick a new image, add effects like blur, and even use Portrait Studio. To wrap it up, I cover the tweaked Battery Protection options (basic vs maximum) and how you can automate it with Modes and Routines, then I show the new multiwindow formatting that lets one app take most of the screen without fully killing the other. Overall, One UI 8 feels like a One UI 7.5 cleanup, and I’m honestly more curious about what One UI 8.5 brings next.
