About This Video

In this video I’m sharing 3 fun and easy back-to-school DIYs you can make with your Cricut machine and Cricut vinyl—perfect whether your kids are in school, distance learning, or doing a hybrid model. I’m using my Cricut Maker and walking you through the basics like choosing vinyl, loading your mat vinyl-side up, making sure you have space behind the machine, and then cutting, weeding, and using transfer tape to turn your designs into super simple vinyl “stickers.” If you’re a beginner, I also talk about why a vinyl starter kit is such a great place to start because it comes with the tools you need. Project one is a customized file organizer for sorting worksheets, artwork, and all the school paperwork that piles up fast. Then I take a plain $4 wall clock and add a cute design (we went full mermaid theme in my house) to make staying on schedule feel a little more fun. And my favorite project is the rolling dry erase board “hack”—I section it off with thin washi tape, add vinyl titles, and then attach it to a rolling clothing rack with zip ties so it’s affordable, movable, and honestly feels like bringing the classroom home.
