In this video I’m finally sharing some big life news—Mitchell and I set our wedding date for June 21st, 2021, and we’re officially in full microwedding planning mode. We got engaged in February 2020 (pre-pandemic), and honestly… 2020 made it so hard to even think about wedding planning when everything was so up in the air. On New Year’s Day, I sat down, started researching venues and vendors, and decided I was ready to plan our special day in a way that felt right for us. I’m walking you through why we chose a small, intimate microwedding instead of eloping, and how important it was to have our parents and immediate family there. I also share how I accidentally found our dream venue while researching videographers—and why I chose a more flexible venue instead of an all-inclusive package. I wanted the creative freedom to decorate (you know I love decorating), and I’ve been using my budget home organization mindset to thrift, repurpose decor from our house, and plan details that feel timeless.
