In this video I put the SWAG Unreal Solid on the lane at Royal Crest Lanes in Lawrence, Kansas on Kaggel Chromium, and yeah… that thing hooks. I went with my regular symmetric layout (Swag tends to like slightly stronger layouts anyway), and right away it looked like the missing “line anchor” in their lineup: a strong, sanded, symmetric solid that fills the gap between the Judges/Dragons and the cleaner stuff like the Unreal (shiny) and the Apexes. Specs-wise it’s 2.51 RG and .047 diff in 15lb, and it uses the Never Quit Solid cover with their AP26 additive—more strength/response plus better durability and longevity. Box says 3000, but mine looked way dustier than that, and the reaction matched: early, strong, and smooth with enough pop to keep it from just falling into the pocket. The shape reminds me a lot of the old Roto Grip Haywire “tumble,” with flashes of Idol/GB5, and it has that Swag “climbing” momentum downlane. My takeaway is simple: this is not a knockoff version of the big-name strong sym solids—this legitimately competes with the Phase 2 / Idol / Haywire type slot, and at $150 it’s S-tier value. Best use is fresher medium-to-heavy, and I think it’s going to be a goat at blending cliffs. Overall grade landed at a very solid A, with Safety and Appraisal both S.
