In this video I put the Brunswick Crown Victory Pearl on the lane at Royal Crest Lanes in Lawrence, Kansas on Kegel Chromium, and I’m telling you right now—this might be one of the simplest reviews I’ve ever done… because the ball basically just eats. I drilled it with my standard symmetric layout (it’s a touch strong for me lately since my rev rate keeps climbing), and from the first few shots it was obvious this isn’t just a “cleaner, sharper Crown Vic” like you’d assume from the name. The big story is the cover. We’ve seen this tiered hexagon core before in the Endeavor, but the Crown Victory Pearl is HK22 with Savvy Hook, and that combo is way more dynamic than the paper specs make it look. For me it picked up earlier than expected, and when it sees friction it just hard-stops and goes—strong, round, and continuous, but still insanely responsive downlane. I ended up getting as deep as I’ve ever been in a review (standing on 41), and outside of one flat 10 I jammed, it never flinched—no light mixers, no hangers, just “send it and let it fly.” If you’re thinking Black Widow Mania territory… yeah. I’m not saying it’s identical, but it’s close enough that I want other people to throw them side-by-side and tell me I’m wrong. Just know what you’re buying: this thing is relentlessly strong and flippy, and it’s more speed-dependent than rev-dependent.
