900 Global announced the Vengeance, and it’s releasing January 30th. In this video I break down why I’m actually excited about this one, because on paper it’s exactly the kind of ball I said they needed in my rebrand video: a big, strong symmetric solid that can anchor the lineup. The new Symmetric Blast AI core is as strong as symmetric gets (2.47 RG and .055 diff in 15lb), and the RB 91 solid cover at 2000 grit screams “where’s the oil at—let me get after it.” I also talk about what it should look like based on the early clips: not a fast/round Stealth Mode look, but more of that Sub-Zero Forge / Raptor Rain vibe—heavy rolling, tumbly, chugging, hook monster. I like the name, I like the black-and-white “smoldering charcoal” look, and I’ll give them credit for the edgy marketing that actually feels like effort instead of soulless corporate noise. My one gripe: don’t let ChatGPT write ball copy—pick a lane between “dynamic” and “smooth.” If this ends up being Global’s Phase 2 / Raptor Rain type of piece, that’s a big deal for their lineup, and I’m going into the reviews optimistic.
