About This Video

In this video I put the 900 Global Vengeance under the microscope and see if it can back up all the “chitty chitty chat chat” it’s been talking online. We tested at Royal Crest Lanes in Lawrence, Kansas on Kegel Chromium… or at least what felt like Chromium, because it played flatter than normal. That made the start of the session a little ugly: shots hanging right, weird over/under, and the Vengeance looking like it was “waving” at the spot instead of grabbing it. Once Zach found what the ball wanted to do, though, it was lights out. The big story here is that the new symmetric Blast AI core is an absolute big-dog sim (2.47 RG, .055 diff), and the RB 91 solid at 2000 grit is no joke. The Vengeance is arcy, directional, and it climbs—yet it also has more downlane pop than most strong symmetrics. To me it lives in that Raptor Rain / Stealth Mode tier, and I even said it makes a real run at the Phase 2 crown. My takeaways: it’s extremely versatile for how strong it is, it can handle being thrown firm from straighter and still drive, and it can also shape from deeper when you slow it down and get around it. The main “con” is it’s strong and fast—sometimes that’s just too much everything—but once you match up, it flat-out gets after it.
