The M-series transition was a smashing success not just because the chips were good, but because Apple nailed compatibility with Rosetta 2 and gave Intel users years to move over. And the real kicker for me is Apple’s “Neo” move: putting an A18 Pro-class phone chip into an affordable MacBook, plus a serious education/fleet management overhaul. It’s a mic drop that only works with vertical integration and Cook’s supply chain wizardry — even if not every product (Vision Pro, I’m looking at you) was a win.
