In this stream, I finally unboxed and tried my first proper flathead earbuds: the Aoshida E60. I go through the whole “no nonsense” package—circle case, foams, removable ear hooks, and the wild part: you get both 3.5mm and a 4.4mm balanced adapter plus a 1/4" adapter in the box, which I honestly didn’t expect at this price. I also check the basic specs (48 ohms, 105 dB) and do some quick physical measurements since flatheads are awkward to measure on my usual IEM rigs—mine came out around 15.6mm diameter and about 5.45mm depth. For listening, I keep it straight: the E60 comes off bassy, with midbass and lower-mids push, and it reminds me of that “KZ-style” fun tuning more than a neutral set. I can see it working for commutes because it doesn’t seal like an IEM, so it feels less “stuffed in your ear,” but that also means bass can bleed out and people near you might hear it. Personally, I didn’t like it as much for indoor, intentional listening—if I’m sitting at home, I’d rather grab an IEM. Still, as a first flathead experience, it’s a cool entry point and a whole new world if you’ve only been on IEMs and headphones.
