I took a couple of months to REALLY understand the T71 and I think it's absolutely phenomenal BUT, it's not something I can simply recommend to everyone. About This Video

In this video I spend real time with the Qudelix T71 (around $229 / ~14k pesos) because it’s one of those “phenomenal, but not for everyone” DAC/amps. I break down why: it’s expensive, it’s feature-heavy, and you only get the value if you’re actually the type to mess with EQ profiles, gain settings, and even 7.1 surround. I also cover the stuff people don’t talk about enough—durability on commutes (that LCD feels like resin, not glass), scratch points on the corners, and why the magnet case is basically mandatory so it’s not just dangling when you’re running bigger headphones. I show how to enable the built-in MEMS microphones (it’s not plug-and-play), and I demo how they sound indoors and out. Inline mics don’t work here, there’s no noise cancellation, and in noisy places you really need it close to your mouth. On the power side, the T71 is a monster for the size: 3.5mm can hit up to 4 Vrms and balanced can go up to 8 Vrms on high gain—so stuff like HD600 is totally on the table, with headroom for EQ. Then I get into the real “Qudelix” reason to buy: the app and EQ. You get layered PEQ (effectively 20-band), tons of profiles, and even per-channel EQ when you enable 7.1. But I’m also honest: surround doesn’t magically become a real speaker setup, there are no easy presets, and the Type-C situation means you can’t just charge-and-use like you’d expect.
