In this video, I unbox the GK Kunten (I got the 3.5mm version, no mic) and I don’t go easy on it. I check the usual KZ-ish packaging stuff, talk about the cable (surprisingly not terrible), and then I measure the weight and housing/nozzle dimensions so you know what you’re dealing with before you even listen. Quick note: it’s a small set, pretty light overall, and comfort is honestly one of the best parts of this IEM. For sound, I give straight-up first impressions: it leans a bit brighter but it’s still a “safe” tuning—clean treble that’s not in-your-face, plus a respectable amount of bass. I do think it’s more midbass than subbass, but it’s not that typical “KZ copious midbass” kind of mess. It ends up feeling like a less technical CCA Phoenix, but also easier to recommend because it’s not forcing extra treble just to sound detailed. Then I run a gaming test and talk imaging/cues. For Valorant/CS-style horizontal cues, it’s pretty solid and I can place direction fast, but the midbass/lower mids can make things feel a bit occlusive and occasionally confusing. Overall: great starter/beater IEM if you get a good pair—but yeah, it’s still KZ, so QC is always the question mark.
