I compare Unc Truthear Zero to the likes of the Hexa, Zero Red, and what's shaping up to be my new favourite 80$ fun sounding IEM; the Letshuoer S08. ⚠️ Get the Trurthear x Crinacle Zero Blue Here (Affiliate Links)! About This Video

In this video I revisit the Truthear x Crinacle Zero (OG/Blue) and answer the real question: for around $60 / 3,000 pesos, is it STILL worth it almost 4 years later? My take is yes… but with an asterisk. The market caught up, so it’s no longer the “revolutionary” set it used to be, but audio doesn’t really get obsolete either—so if you want a V-shaped, fun tuning with big bass and extra treble energy, the Zero still hits. I break down the sound the way I actually hear it: the subbass rumbles and the midbass punch (around 80–250Hz) is what makes drums hit harder and bass guitars sound thicker. It’s addictive for casual listening and commuting, and it doesn’t make me nauseous like some overdone bass sets. The tradeoff is the mids are “nothing special,” vocals can get overshadowed, and female vocals can get a bit too forward—plus the treble/air rolls off, so the presentation can feel artificial. Then I talk comfort, accessories, and the biggest dealbreaker: that gigantic 6.8mm nozzle lip. For gaming, it’s usable but not a detail monster—soundstage feels close, vertical cues can get weird, and separation gets messy fast when things get busy. I rate it B- and I mainly recommend it if you can grab it on sale, especially with how strong the alternatives are now (Zero Red, Hexa, Letshuoer S08).
