Hello foorders of blue—welcome to another Zero Skill video, where I show you the easiest and simplest way to paint amazing miniatures. With the new Space Wolves release, I added a new member to my kill team and painted him with a super fast, super reliable method: white spray, a warm brown pre-shade, drybrush, and then Express Paint to do all the heavy lifting. The key idea here is that Space Wolves armor isn’t just “blue”—it has that subtle brownish undertone you see on the box art, so I replicate it with a mahogany pre-shade thinned 2 parts Express Medium to 1 part mahogany. After the mahogany is dry, I build the light with drybrushing (ivory first, then a very light pure white). I specifically like a satin paint for the drybrush because one-coat style paints behave better over it. Then I apply the Express layers: Viking Gray for the armor and Dreadnought Yellow for the shoulder pads—no thinning, and I go section by section, absorbing any pooling. To take it to the next level (optional), I add a quick recess shade with the same mahogany to boost definition, then edge highlights with a mix of Wolf Gray and Somber Gray, finishing with a final Wolf Gray pop. Simple steps, fast results, and a Space Wolf that looks way more interesting than a flat baby blue.
