Welcome to a different kind of video—cozy studio vibes are great, but for this one you’ve got to follow me out into the outside world. I take you with me on a real “day in the life” as I travel to the very last class of my season after spending months teaching NMM across Europe. This time it’s the Mandalorian bust again (yes… after painting the same bust seven times, you start craving a change of scenery), and it’s also a little goodbye before the next cycle begins. You’ll see the unglamorous parts too: airports, trains, buses, and my genuine fear of baggage claim—because losing my paints would be an absolute disaster. Once I arrive, I head to the venue to set everything up with Vouter and Miniature Painting Workshops, and honestly, the place is idyllic. Then it’s workshop time: structured teaching designed for less experienced painters, a long day of painting, and my favorite part—giving feedback and doing corrections. Each student is a puzzle, and figuring out what they need is the hardest and most rewarding part of the job. I’m privileged to do YouTube full-time, but teaching is my passion, and this video is my way of saying thank you for an amazing year.
