You guys know how I am with my Amazon finds, and this one surprised me. In this video I put the Veeniix V11 Air up against my DJI (I’m flying a Mavic Air 2S) because—let’s be honest—DJI is awesome, but it’s expensive enough that I’m always a little afraid to crash it. My goal was simple: find a drone that’s a fraction of the price, still shoots solid footage, and makes me more willing to take the risk to get that perfect adventure shot. Setup was extremely easy and the controls felt very familiar. In the air, the Veeniix flew smooth, hovered well, and the footage looked stable—the gimbal actually did a really good job. The big “gotcha” is there’s no obstacle avoidance, and I proved that the hard way by testing it straight toward a table. The upside is it’s GPS enabled with return-to-home when voltage drops, it ran longer than I expected, and it was quieter than my DJI—plus it stayed cooler in our desert conditions. My takeaway: I’m not telling anyone to skip a professional drone. But if you’re a beginner (which is what this channel is all about) and you want to learn without risking a $3,000 mistake, this is a legit place to start.
