In this video I’m talking about the LETSHUOER Astralis, a $189 planar IEM that I had on loan from Audio Amigo Reviews (I asked LETSHUOER for it and got ghosted, so shoutout to him). I only had about a week with it, so treat this as a fast review/impression—but I still wanted to get it out because this set is genuinely interesting at the price. I cover build quality (metal shell, vented, comfortable for me, classy blue/black pattern), the included cable and accessories, and then we get straight into the sound. Sound-wise, the bass is the standout: deep, physical, authoritative, textured, and fast—good planar bass that honestly reminds me of a solid DD in terms of impact. Mids are smooth, organic, and intimate without being shouty, and the treble is more on the natural/smooth side rather than ultra-sparkly, but the technicalities are still well above average for $189. I also go over graphs and comparisons (S12 Ultra, S15, Performer 7, DUNU DaVinci/“142”, MP145, and more) and explain why Astralis is a great example of “price doesn’t always equal better.” I land at a strong 4-star today, with a real chance it becomes a 5-star if I had more time.
