About This Video

The iFi GO Pod Air is basically a way to turn your IEMs into wearable Bluetooth “earhooks,” and in this video I break down who it’s actually for. I talk about the big appeal first: flexibility. If you want to take your favorite IEMs to the gym or just go wireless without switching to TWS, this kind of product makes a lot of sense. The GO Pod Air comes in at $250 (cheaper than the older $400 GO Pod and the $600 GO Pod Max), and the best part is the sound—it's uncolored, transparent, and genuinely high-end for a Bluetooth solution. I also cover what you get in the box, the codec and IEM compatibility, and the adapter situation (MMCX included, and you can grab Pentaconn/other adapters too). Battery life is solid at around 7 hours, with about 21 hours total using the case. But I’m not going to sugarcoat it: the case design and overall “premium feel” are not great to me, and the charging setup is kinda weird. I also ran into some finickiness—sometimes it can pop off my ear when moving around—so I give it a sonic recommendation, not a build quality one.
