About This Video

In this video I’m talking about the Hifiman Arya Unveiled, which is a $1,500 headphone (late 2024 / early 2025) and this particular unit is a loaner from a friend of the channel. I start with the build, accessories, and comfort because the Arya line is kind of “known” for that headband and overall wearability—and yeah, it delivers. The stock cable is basically indestructible (zombie apocalypse-tier), but it’s stiff, not comfy, and doesn’t lay flat. The Unveiled covers come on and off easily, but I’ll be blunt: listening with the covers on was an extremely poor experience and I wouldn’t recommend it. Sound-wise, the Arya Unveiled is a very technical, detailed, airy headphone with really well-done treble and a high overall sound quality. My main nitpick is bass—it's a bit underwhelming, and that’s the biggest “fault” for me even after updating my bass target. I also note some tuning traits: slightly scooped mids, some extra energy around 5–6 kHz that can get sibilant on certain tracks, and a lively upper-mid / treble presentation if that’s your thing. I run through graph comparisons (including Mark from Super Reviews’ measurements) and stack it up against sets like the Hifiman HE1000 (H600), E3, and a few others. Bottom line: I like it a lot, I rank it an A, and I think it’s a compelling buy if you want comfort, looks, technicalities, and that “ownership pride” factor—even if you can find cheaper options that might suit your sound better.
