What’s up legends — in this video I’m putting the brand new Insta360 Ace Pro head-to-head with GoPro’s flagship, the Hero 12 Black, across a bunch of real travel-style scenarios. I’m not trying to “review” them with a hot take — I’m shooting matched settings as closely as possible and letting you see the differences for yourself. We run HDR vlogging tests moving from indoors to full sun, POV e-bike riding, underwater clips (rainy and sunny), plus a quick look at how each camera handles different fields of view and stabilization. I also break down the color profile choices we used (GoPro Natural vs Insta360 Standard, then Vibrant/Vivid comparisons) and why that matters if you’re doing quick vlogs versus grading. We talk specs that actually show up in the footage: Ace Pro’s 1/1.3" sensor versus GoPro’s 1/1.9", and the big workflow difference of 8-bit on Ace Pro versus 10-bit on GoPro Hero 12. The most “shocked” moment for me was low light. I tested GoPro with Hypersmooth off to avoid wasting processing power, and Ace Pro in PureVideo where the AI chip denoises in-camera before it spits out the file.
