In this video I’m testing the newest drop from Brown Girl Jane: Peach Aura. I’ll be honest—peach is usually a note that makes me nervous because it can go artificial and screechy on my skin, but it really does feel like peach is having a moment right now. I walk you through the packaging, the note breakdown (velvet peach, blood orange, Bellini nectar, butterscotch cream, vanilla bourbon, sandalwood, cashmere musk, and more), and my first impressions after wearing it both at night and again as my scent of the day. On first spray, Peach Aura is a 10/10 opening for me: juicy, warm, syrupy peach with that sparkling Bellini nectar that literally gives “peach cocktail at brunch.” It’s not peach rings and it’s not overly citrusy—more like ripe peach sitting in warmth, then wrapped in this creamy, lotion-like softness (in the best way). As it dries down, the peach fades and it turns into a sweet, creamy peaches-and-cream vibe with butterscotch cream, a rich vanilla bourbon depth (not boozy), and pretty sandalwood. It wears well in both Houston heat and cooler weather, and I kept catching whiffs for hours—this one is staying in my collection.
