About This Video

In this video I’m testing the newest clean fragrance from SKYLAR: Pomegranate Princess. I went into this one excited because I love pomegranate (even though she’s hard to get to), and I really wanted to see how “gourmand” SKYLAR was about to get—especially after how obsessed I was with Double Dates. I walk you through the packaging, the notes, and my real-time first impressions on paper and on skin. On the first spray, Pomegranate Princess opens super candied and a tiny bit artificial—like a pomegranate Jolly Rancher with a fizzy, tangy pop. On my skin that only hangs around for a few seconds, then it dries down into the good part: whipped frosting, airy sugar, and a syrupy strawberry + pomegranate “jam” vibe. As it settles, I get a fluffy shortcake/cake note that honestly smells like a literal piece of strawberry shortcake from a bakery—fruit drenched on top with whipped cream. I also address the floral panic: yes, there’s rose listed, but on my nose it’s not floral-forward at all (if anything, it’s a soft almond blossom moment). The scent is pretty linear once it hits that cake-and-jam dry down, it wears more intimate/close to the skin, and it gives me girly “princess pink” energy—perfect for errands, nails, fragrance shopping, and sweet date vibes if your man likes edible scents.
