About This Video

In this video I’m testing the NEW Jean Paul Gaultier Divine Couture, and y’all… I really wasn’t even going to pick her up. But once I saw the notes (raspberry, meringue, benzoin), I had to get my nose on it—because I love a juicy raspberry note, and I almost like raspberry more than strawberry. I also go into the packaging (yes, the little can situation) and the bottle because she is super pretty: that pink with the gold is giving feminine and luxe. Scent-wise, the opening is a bright, tart, sparkling raspberry with citrus/bergamot that keeps it fresh—not syrupy or candied. Then it shifts fast into florals (solar notes, ylang-ylang, jasmine, geranium), and that’s where things get interesting because I was catching a green, almost “seaweed” vibe at first. Come to find out, there’s calone in here, which gives that salty, ocean-air, marine feel—so this is not a “raspberry drink” gourmand moment. The dry down gets a little warmer and deeper with amber, benzoin, vanilla, and even pine, but overall it stays more coastal, fresh, green, and floral than sweet. My final take: she’s pretty and unique, more occasion than everyday for me, and I’d personally go smaller if I keep her.
