In this video I’m giving y’all my first impressions of the NEW Moroccanoil perfume (the “pink one” — Lumière du Jour), and I’m walking through how it smells on paper vs. on my skin. I talk packaging (super cute, classy, and I love their cap), the sprayer (she was acting up at first), and the overall vibe: clean, pretty, effortless. Think fresh laundry + bougie hair oil + soft florals, like you just got your hair done and you’re stepping out in a cute linen set with your toes out. Scent-wise, I pick up white florals with fig leaf, musk, salt, and amber. On paper it leans more floral, fresh, and “hair care/laundry,” but on my skin the green + salty warmth comes out more, and it’s not a beachy coconut salt—more of a warm, slightly bitter green-salty cut through the florals. I also keep it real about the price: at $105, I don’t know if it’s full-bottle worthy for me, especially because it starts to dry down more “hair oil” and I catch a slight chemical sharpness on my skin. I’d say try it in store, consider a travel size or a gift set, and if you want the most “exact hair products” vibe, the original might be the better pick.
