In this video, I’m testing the brand new Dolce&Gabbana My Devotion and giving you my honest thoughts—because when I first saw the notes (pear blossom, peony, vanilla), I was like… where did she come from and why do we need her? The bottle is gorgeous (that alone almost got me), but I grabbed the travel size because I wanted to really see what it gives before committing. On first spray, I immediately get that juicy pear opening, and overall it wears very soft, feminine, and pretty-pretty girl. It’s fresh, a little green, and then it dries down into a nice vanilla base. I also compare it to Devotion Intense (one of my favorites), and for me, Intense is the heavy hitter—more potent, more “sexy woman,” and it develops so much better on skin with that citrusy hazelnut-vanilla vibe. My Devotion, on the other hand, feels safer and honestly a little boring, like a fruity floral vanilla you’ve smelled before. It’s light on skin with softer projection, but it does last and I kept getting little whiffs when I moved. My final take: it’s a nice spring/summer brunch-and-maintenance scent, a safe gift option, but not something I think you need to rush to buy—travel size was the right choice for me.
