About This Video

In this sound check I’m running a Balaguer Seraph Modern through the Mesa/Boogie Mark VII and just letting you hear what the rig does across the whole amp. No hype, no talking over the tones—this one is straight up “here’s the guitar, here’s the amp,” and I’m moving through the Mark VII’s voices so you can hear how the Seraph Modern reacts when you change modes and gain structure. I start on the clean channel, then hit boosted cleans so you can hear the headroom and how the pick attack stays together when you lean in. From there it’s into crunch and boosted crunch for that tighter, more stage-ready rhythm feel. The back half is the higher gain side: Channel 3, then IIB mode, then Mark IV mode, so you can compare the different mid character, saturation, and tightness without changing guitars. If you’re trying to decide how the Mark VII’s modes stack up—or you just want a real-world demo of a modern guitar into a modern Mark—this is the full sweep in one place.
