This one’s exactly what the title says: no talking, just tone. I ran the Tone King Royalist through my live-band style setup so you can hear what it actually does in a real-world rig, not a bedroom hype demo. The guitar is my Charvel SanDimas (Suhr Aldrich in the bridge, Duncan Saturday Night Special in the neck) into a Splawn 4x12 loaded with a Scumback H75 and a Celestion V30, and I’m using the Fryette Power Station to keep things controlled while still feeling like an amp pushing air. The video is split into a few practical sections: I start with the Boss Waza SD-1w as a boost (0:00) so you can hear how the Royalist reacts when you hit it harder. Then I swap to the Jackson Audio Golden Boy (5:19) for a different flavor of push and feel. After that (9:14) I back things down into lower gain territory so you can hear the pedal’s touch response and how it sits when you’re not leaning on it. If you’re trying to figure out whether the Royalist can cover boosted stuff and more restrained gain without getting weird, this is the straight-up “listen for yourself” test.
