This week we headed out to Sand Hollow State Park to run some insane rock crawling lines with the crew from DV8 Offroad. My Chevrolet Colorado has been performing incredible on the rocks, but during this trip I discovered a pretty serious issue… the bed rails are literally starting to tear apart. To be clear — this is NOT a problem with my Go Fast Campers setup. The camper has been solid. The problem appears to come from the design of the Colorado bed and how it handles heavy loads and off-road articulation. While climbing obstacles like The Chute, the stress on the bed started causing the rails to separate — something I definitely wasn’t expecting to see this early on. In this video: • Rock crawling at Sand Hollow Waynes world trail • Wheeling with the DV8 Offroad crew • Discovering the bed rail tearing issue • What this could mean for Colorado and Canyon owners If you own a Colorado or Canyon and run a bed rack, camper, or overland setup, I’d love to hear if you’ve seen anything like this.
