I finally did it… I put 37” tires on my Colorado ZR2—and yeah, it basically ruined it… but I love it. In this video, I walk through what it actually takes to run 37s on a Colorado ZR2. From fitment issues, trimming, and clearance problems to how it drives now, this build definitely pushed things to the limit. If you’ve ever thought about going bigger than 35s on your ZR2, this is what you can expect. It’s not perfect, it’s not practical—but that’s kind of the point. Whether you’re into off-roading, overlanding, or just building something different, this truck is far from stock now… and I wouldn’t have it any other way. ⸻ DV8 Bumpers here are ➡️ https://dv8offroad.com CODE- DOWNTIMELOST What’s covered in this video: • 37” tire fitment on a Colorado ZR2 • Cutting, trimming, and clearance mods • How it drives with 37s • Pros and cons of going this big • Was it worth it? ⸻ Truck Setup: Colorado ZR2 Build 37” Tires (Custom suspension / trimming / mods) ⸻ Follow me for more ZR2 builds & off-road content: 📸 Instagram: @Downtimelost 🎥 Subscribe for weekly builds, camping, and off-road videos

About This Video

I finally sent it and threw 37s on my 2025 Colorado ZR2, and yeah… it basically ruined it as a “normal” daily driver, but I still love it. In this video I’m out at Off-Road Warehouse getting the 37s mounted and balanced, comparing them to my old 35s, and showing you the real-world fitment problems you’re going to deal with if you want to go bigger than 35s on a ZR2. Spoiler: you’re going to rub, you’re going to trim, and if you don’t trim enough, you’re going to start bending stuff. After about 3–4 weeks on 37s, I go through the stuff everybody asks about—MPG, how it drives, and whether the transmission and steering rack feel like they’re about to hate me forever. My combined average dropped to around 12.8 MPG (13.2 average overall), but honestly it’s not as horrible as I expected. On-road power difference from 35s to 37s isn’t crazy, but the truck definitely had to “learn” the tires, and 4HI sucks for crawling now—4LO is the move. I also show the damage: rubbing bent my fender back into the door area, and I ripped a fender flare after taking a hard line while filming. The takeaway is simple—37s look proper and work great off-road, but you need a real trim plan (I’m following the Relentless Fabrication style) and you need to accept that this isn’t the practical choice… that’s kind of the point.
