If you’ve been asking how to fit 37” tires on a Chevy Colorado or Colorado ZR2, this is the full step-by-step build you need to see. In this week’s video, I break down exactly what it takes to make 37s fit using the AEV HighMark fender flares—from the cutting process and installation to final fitment and how it completely changes the truck’s stance, clearance, and off-road capability. This isn’t just a basic bolt-on mod. We’re cutting into the truck, installing AEV HighMark flares, creating room for bigger tires, and transforming this Colorado into a serious off-road and overland build. If you’ve been debating whether AEV HighMark flares are worth it, how much cutting is involved, or what it really takes to clear 37 inch tires, this video shows the full process. For Chevy Colorado owners, Colorado ZR2 builders, GMC Canyon owners, and anyone building an off-road truck, fitting 37s is one of the biggest upgrades you can do for trail performance, ground clearance, and overall aggressive styling. Whether you’re into rock crawling, overlanding, trail rigs, camping setups, or building the ultimate midsize truck, this install is a game changer. About This Video

In this video I’m walking you through exactly how I’m fitting 37s on my third-gen Colorado using the AEV HighMark fender flares. This isn’t a “bolt-on and call it good” mod—there’s cutting, drilling, templates, and a little bit of that “send it” energy. I show you the real process: ripping the old flare off, pulling the wheel well liner with a T15, using AEV’s templates to mark everything, drilling alignment holes, and then getting after the cut lines so the 37s actually clear where they were rubbing. I also talk through the stuff people don’t mention—like how my truck’s already pretty clapped from running 37s, and how that makes lining up cut lines more annoying. I point out differences depending on your setup too: if you’re on an OEM ZR2 bumper you’ll likely be trimming more than I did since I’m running a DV8 tube-style bumper. And yes, I made a mistake you can learn from: don’t blast through your drill bit on the passenger side unless you want to drill straight into your windshield washer fluid tank (ask me how I know). Once the flares are on, the truck’s whole vibe changes—these look thick, smooth, and way more “proper” than the OEM ZR2 flares. I’ve already wheeled them, and for making 37s work, this is hands-down one of the best mods I’ve done.
