I took a solo trip out to the Grand Canyon and it ended up being one of the most peaceful—and unreal—experiences I’ve had. No big group. No distractions. Just me, the truck, and some of the craziest views Arizona has to offer. I found a spot right along the edge, set up camp, and just took it all in. Sunsets, silence, and that feeling you only get when you’re completely off-grid. This is exactly why I love getting out and doing these trips. Sometimes you don’t need a crew… just a full tank of gas and a place like this. ⸻ GEAR / PARTNERS: Use code DOWNTIMELOST 👇 DV8 Offroad: (your link) Peak Suspension: (your link) ⸻ FOLLOW ME: Instagram: (your link) TikTok: (your link) ⸻ CHANNEL INFO: I make content around Chevy Colorado / Canyon builds, solo trips, off-road camping, and pushing trucks in real-world conditions. About This Video

Heat. Heat. Heat. On my way home from Sand Hollow, Utah, I decided to break up the drive and send it to the edge of the Grand Canyon for a solo night in the Go Fast Camper on my Colorado ZR2. I rolled in sunburnt, pulled up to an unreal spot, and just posted up in the camper editing while I waited for the sun to drop. No tourist crowds, no noise—just wind, the Colorado River down in the canyon, and that “this place is way bigger than your brain can process” kind of view. Once the wind really started ripping, I hunkered down and kept dinner simple: a Mountain House chicken and fried rice made with my Iceco water boiler (thankfully I actually had the cable). Zero dishes, five minutes, and I was good—dry and a little weird, but honestly not bad. Sleeping in the GFC was money, especially with the Hest Dually 50 mattress. It got so windy I thought my Starlink might launch, so I threw in my AirPods Pro 2 as earplugs and crashed. Next morning it was coffee, leftover muffins, and back to reality with a five-hour drive home. This ended up being one of my best solo trips—beer on the Grand Canyon, killer views, and I didn’t get eaten by a skinwalker. I’ll take that all day.
