But for that price do you get a true MacBook or is it just too good to be true? I have been using and testing the MacBook Neo for the past weeks and today I will share what the Neo is and what it is not, to help you decide if it’s the right move for you. ✅ Up Next iPhone Playlist - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8ewWv6g3Jc&list=PLDszsqlMsMUx5hhCzhaglZS5ZsraX6yGD Apple Watch Playlist - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaXXbljFqgc&list=PLDszsqlMsMUzKmpFw9tdsW1FeC2KN8rwZ&index=2 MacBook Pro Playlist - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2cVzV5F8A8&list=PLDszsqlMsMUytSFtsc3xdOieCWFEtm-nm 👋 Connect! About This Video

In this video I’m answering the big question: is the $599 MacBook Neo actually a “true” MacBook, or is it too good to be true? After using it daily for three weeks, I break down what the Neo is (and what it isn’t), starting with the specs. There are two models—256GB and 512GB (the 512GB adds Touch ID)—and I went with the 256GB because for most people it’s the better value. I also talk build quality, and honestly, this is one of the Neo’s wow moments: full aluminum, solid hinge, almost no flex, and it genuinely doesn’t feel like a budget laptop. Then we get into the reality checks. The keyboard feels great, but there’s no backlight, and on my 256GB model there’s no Touch ID. Ports are limited and the two USB‑C ports aren’t equal (one is USB 3 with display support, the other is USB 2). The 13-inch Liquid Retina display is sharp, bright (up to 500 nits), and color accurate, but it’s 60Hz with thicker bezels and no True Tone. Performance is excellent for everyday use thanks to the A18 Pro, it’s fanless and quiet, and it can even handle light creative work—just expect longer renders and remember you’re locked to 8GB RAM. Battery life is all-day, but charging is slower and you might not even get a charger in the box depending on where you live. My conclusion: it’s not perfect, but Apple compromised in the right areas, and for casual users and students it’s one of the easiest recommendations they’ve made.
