In this video I’m comparing the Galaxy S26 Ultra vs the S25 Ultra side by side, because on the surface they look really similar—but there are a few key differences that can make you buy the wrong one. I start with price and storage (both launch at $1,299 for 256GB), then go into the design changes. The S26 Ultra is thinner and lighter, and those softer corners + rounded edges make it noticeably nicer in the hand. The tradeoff is durability: the S25 Ultra’s titanium frame is better for resisting chips and dents, while the S26 Ultra goes back to aluminum (lighter, and better for heat management). The biggest standout for me is the display. The S26 Ultra’s new Privacy Display is something I genuinely use every day—one tap and people around you can’t see what’s on your screen, and you can even set it per app or for notifications. It’s not perfect (slightly dimmer and less sharp), but it’s the main thing I miss when I go back to the S25 Ultra. I also cover camera refinements (better dynamic range, low-light, more accurate colors), new software/AI features, performance gains, battery/charging upgrades, and long-term support. My buying advice is simple: if the S25 Ultra is about $300 cheaper (around $900), it’s an amazing value—otherwise, for most people buying today, I’d go S26 Ultra.
