Hey y’all! In this studio vlog I’m knocking out a quick “work with me” making t-shirts for my Etsy shop, and I’m showing you exactly how I do it when I’m on a time crunch. This was a last-minute order, so I grabbed blank tees from Hobby Lobby/Michaels (they be like $2.99) and got straight to pressing. I pre-press for about 15 seconds to get out any moisture and help me find the center, then I line everything up by eye—no rulers, no fancy tools—because I’ve been doing shirts since 2019 and I’m good at eyeballing it. I’m also talking through the real-life stuff that comes with shirts: a lot of them don’t be perfect, sometimes the tag is off, sometimes the placement can try to fool you, so you have to keep checking that it looks centered and straight before you press. For designs like the multi-color prints in this video, I use printed transfers (I get mine from Perfect HTV), and they peel perfectly after my press time. By the end, I had six shirts total to make (including a couple with a last name and number on the back for a friend’s nephew), plus I had a vendor event the same day. I fold everything up and individually bag each shirt, and that’s a wrap!
