In Vlogmas Day 9, I finally made it to Buc-ee’s for the first time, and I took y’all along on my phone (I didn’t have my DJI with me). The first thing that had me shook was the gas price—$1.79—and then the parking lot… freaking ridiculous. I did what I had to do: gas first, then a bathroom break, and then I went inside to see what all the hype was about. Once I got in there, I looked around at everything—snacks, sweets, and even a whole clothing/pajama section. I grabbed a six-pack of oatmeal raisin cookies for $5, some dark chocolate peanut butter treats, and of course I had to try the brisket sandwich everybody talks about. I’ll be honest, I didn’t realize it was $8.49 until I got to the counter, but it did have good flavor (a little salty), and it definitely gave barbecue. I also got a large Diet Dr. Pepper to keep me awake because I was sleepy. My takeaway? Buc-ee’s is super organized and the lines moved, but it wasn’t as huge inside as I expected from the outside and all those pumps. Still, it was a fun little stop, and I’m glad I finally got to see it for myself during Vlogmas.
