About This Video

Hey y’all! In Vlogmas 2025 Day 12, I’m in my studio doing some real small business work—trimming wicks, cleaning up jars, and getting candles ready to label. A big part of today is fixing tunneling in my candles (those little holes you’ll see on top after they cure). I get tunneling more when it’s colder in my home, so I wanted to show y’all exactly what I do before I finish them up for inventory and orders. My quick fix is simple: I use chopsticks (yes, the ones I grab from Chinese restaurants) and I press holes down into the tunneled areas while the wax is dry. Then I go back with my heat gun and melt the top so the wax falls down and fills the cavities. I also show you what to look for—if it bubbles up, it’s not doing right and you may have to poke it again and re-heat it (but don’t hold the heat too close or it’ll bubble out and make a mess on the jar). I also talk a little vendor event truth—time is money, and I’m not packing up my whole setup for a market that doesn’t advertise and only brings in a hundred bucks. I’d rather focus on the organized events that actually get shoppers out and make it worth it.
