Hey y’all! In this Studio Vlog #23, I’m unboxing my new Sawgrass SG1000 sublimation printer for my shop. I’ve been a little in and out with filming because I was trying to film every day and I got burned out super, super quick—so I’m easing back in and sharing what I’m actually doing in real life for my small business. This video is strictly the unboxing, what came in the boxes, and what I noticed right away while setting it up on my desk with my other printers. I ordered my SG1000 as a bundle from Swing Designs (I’ll always link what I use), and one of the biggest takeaways is that financing can be a good option if you’re trying to invest in equipment without paying everything upfront. I also talk about saving your boxes and packaging—because if something is wrong, you want to be able to ship it back for warranty. I unbox the transfer paper (I grabbed multiple sizes like 8.5x11 and 11x17), show the cords and ports, and install the bypass tray and waste collection unit. The only problem is… my ink wasn’t in the boxes, so I couldn’t test print yet. Once I get the ink sorted, I’ll come back and show y’all how it actually works.
