In this video I put a Real AirPods Pro 2 next to a Fake AirPods Pro 2 and go through all the little things that give it away. I start with the packaging because honestly, if you don’t know what you’re looking for, the fake box can trick you. But once you look closer, the fonts are off, that Apple “texture” printing doesn’t feel the same, and even the plastic pull tab doesn’t open as clean as the real one. I also show what you get inside, like the braided USB‑C cable and the ear tips, and I point out small details like how the fake tips don’t have that cutout and are way harder to remove. Then I move to the case and the AirPods themselves. The fake has bolder fonts, a clickier button, and the case speaker sounds like it’s fighting for its life compared to the real one being more subtle. Inside the lid, the symbols are different sizes, the hinge and lid feel flimsy, and the seam on the fake case is way more visible. Feature-wise, the fake might show Noise Cancellation, Transparency, and Spatial Audio, but you don’t really hear a difference when you toggle them, and you’re stuck on outdated firmware with no AppleCare. My biggest takeaway: the animations can look basically the same, so don’t rely on that. Check the fonts, the build quality, the case lid test, and the real feature set like Precision Find My and case sound playback.
