In this video I put a Real Apple AirPods 4 next to a Fake AirPods 4 and it’s honestly almost scary how close they look at a quick glance. I walk you through the exact things I noticed right away—starting with packaging (the box looks super similar, but the fonts and paper quality are a little off) and then the case details like the back text, the mesh, and even the USB‑C port. One of the biggest tells I show is the “Assembled in” line: if you’re seeing “Assembled in China” on these, that’s a huge red flag, because my real pair shows Vietnam. Then I get into the real-world stuff: sound quality, features, and how everything behaves day to day. The fakes actually show a lot of the same settings (Noise Cancellation, Adaptive, Transparency, Conversation Awareness, Spatial Audio options), but they don’t hit the same—ANC isn’t strong, Spatial Audio didn’t feel like it really worked, and the controls/head gestures weren’t as responsive. I also compare Find My (real ones give you better tracking/precision), the LED brightness, and the case sounds when charging.
