In this video, I’m reviewing the BOYA Magic, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s one of the most versatile mics I’ve used for content creation. It’s a transformable, AI-powered mini wireless microphone that can switch between four setups: clip-on, handheld, desktop, and on-camera. I walk through the unboxing, what comes in the case (USB-C, Lightning, and camera receivers, cables, windscreens, mini tripod), and why the whole “everything stays together” design is so clutch—especially because the receiver snaps magnetically into the bottom of the charging case. I also test the range and the true AI noise cancellation so you can actually hear the difference with background noise on vs off. Battery-wise, you’re getting over 30 hours with the case, and up to 6 hours on the mic itself, which is more than enough for interviews, streaming, or filming YouTube videos. I show you the BOYA Central app too—noise cancellation strength, mono vs stereo (I prefer mono), safety track at -12 dB to prevent clipping, gain control, EQ options, and even the ability to turn off the transmitter LED. My main downside: you can’t charge the transmitters individually—you have to charge them in the case.
