In this video, I’m breaking down my AirPods buying guide for 2025 so you don’t waste money on the wrong pair. I go through the AirPods that are currently on Apple’s website (and I also tell you straight up: check Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, or Target first because there’s usually a sale). If you care about free engraving, then yeah—buy from Apple. If you don’t, you can still buy elsewhere and add AppleCare like normal. I start at the bottom with AirPods 4, because they’re the most basic option. There are two versions: regular AirPods 4 and AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation, and I personally think the ANC version is the smarter pick if you’re already spending the money. Then I get into the AirPods Pro 2, which is what I recommend overall—best bang for your buck, best “extreme” AirPods experience, and it keeps getting better through software updates (conversation awareness, hearing health features, adaptive audio, and more). I also talk about the AirPods Max, and I’m honest: I haven’t used them, and most of what I see is people buying them for aesthetics more than anything.
