Apple finally pushed a new firmware update for the AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation, and in this video I’m breaking down what we know about firmware 7E93 and why it matters. The last update I had on my AirPods 4 ANC was 7B21 back in November 2024, so if you’ve been waiting on Apple to move again—this is the one. Of course, Apple didn’t tell us exactly what they fixed (as usual), and I still wish they would be more specific in the firmware notes so we can actually tell what changed and what still needs work. Apple only says “bug fixes and other improvements,” but I’ve been seeing people report real-world improvements—especially with ANC/noise cancellation—and one big one: Find My. A lot of users were dealing with that annoying Find My bug that says your AirPods aren’t set up even when they are, and this update is supposed to fix that.
