I’ve been using the AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation since they dropped in September 2024, and in this video I’m giving you my honest “over 6 months later” experience. I go over real-world battery life (I’m still getting about 4–5 hours per charge and up to 30 hours with the case), plus my favorite part: fast charging. Five minutes gets me up to an hour of listening, so I’m basically never stuck waiting around. I also share how I stretch battery to around 60 hours by using one earbud at a time—right earbud first, then swap while the other charges in the case. I also talk sound quality and why it can feel like it “degrades” over time—most of the time it’s just dirty grills and mics, so cleaning monthly makes a noticeable difference. For ANC, it is good, but it’s not AirPods Pro 2 level (that comparison is night and day, and I think the silicone ear tips are a big reason why). I show the exact settings that can mess up ANC—like Conversation Awareness and Adaptive Audio—and how to fix it. Finally, I do a mic test, show the in-call mic modes (Voice Isolation is usually the move), and wrap up with who I think should buy AirPods 4 ANC vs just spending a little more for AirPods Pro 2.
