Everyone’s busy, and in the warm months when the grass is growing, I’d rather be at the pool or the lake than pushing a mower around. So in this video I tested the UBHOME M10 robot lawn mower for a few weeks to see if it can actually handle a real yard. It may look small, but it’s surprisingly powerful—my biggest concerns were the 13-inch cutting width and the max cut height, but it handled my roughly 5,000 sq ft backyard on nearly a single charge, which honestly surprised me. I also break down the setup, because that’s where a lot of robot mowers get frustrating: finding the right spot for the charging base and RTK antenna while still keeping a solid connection. The M10 stands out because it uses LoRa with a gateway inside the house, so you’re not relying on weak outdoor Wi‑Fi. I show what comes in the box, the sensors and safety features (camera, ultrasonic sensors, rain sensor, stop button), how mapping works (zones, no-go zones, and paths), and what the app lets you control. At the end, I’m happy with the cut quality at 2.4 inches, and the maintenance is low effort—no oil, no spark plugs, no sharpening, just swap the blades. I did have some setup frustration with RTK placement, but once it’s dialed in, I’m confident it can maintain my lawn the way I like it.
