About This Video

Most indoor security cams just sit there and miss the action, so in this video I tested the Aqara G350 and focused on the one thing that actually matters in my house: can one camera cover a long, narrow kitchen/living room without me needing two, three, or four cameras? The G350 surprised me. It pans and tilts, it’s super quiet (like, you can’t even hear the motor), and it’ll auto-track a person moving through the room—perfect for keeping an eye on what’s going on when I’m away (or when my daughter tries to sneak a snack from the pantry). I also break down the hardware and features: it’s a dual-lens setup with a 4K wide angle lens and a telephoto lens that helps with tracking and zoom, plus up to 9x hybrid zoom. Night vision uses invisible IR LEDs so it doesn’t glow red at night, and privacy mode physically hides the lenses. For me, local storage is a must, and the G350 has a microSD slot (up to 512GB) with 24/7 recording support. On the smart home side, I walk through the Aqara app features and talk HomeKit support, plus how it can bridge Aqara devices to Matter platforms and even integrate third-party Matter devices into the Aqara ecosystem. It’s not perfect, but if you want one indoor cam that can actually cover more of your space, this one is worth a look.
