In this video I put the SwitchBot K11+ through a real hands-on test, because it’s literally the world’s smallest self-emptying robot vacuum—and I wanted to know if being tiny comes at a cost. When it showed up at my door, I honestly thought they sent me the wrong box. But once I unboxed it (robot, tiny auto-empty base, 4L antibacterial bags, side brushes, wipes, and extras) it was a “small box, big surprise” situation. I walk through the hardware and why the size actually helps: it’s under 10 inches wide and under 4 inches tall, so it slides under furniture and glides around table legs and chair legs way better than bigger bots. Then I jump into the app—mapping, splitting/merging rooms, no-go zones (cords and kids toys are a big one), room vs area cleaning, suction levels, scheduling, multi-map support, and settings like child lock. The K11+ also brings 6,000 Pa on max (double the K10+), up to 150 minutes runtime, LiDAR navigation, and Matter support for Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, Home Assistant, SmartThings, and more. My takeaway: the smaller design didn’t make me worry about performance at all, and the compact base still keeps the full 4L bag—no shrinkflation here.
