This video is all about the Blink Arc — Blink’s new “panoramic” setup that’s basically two Blink Mini 2K Plus cameras shoved into one Arc bracket to give you a stitched 180° view. I walk through what you actually get for the $100 bundle (two cameras + bracket), how the cameras slide in from the front (snug fit, not really worried about them falling out), and the mounting options since you can mount the Arc from the top or the rear. I also cover the all-in-one plug-in mounting bracket that lets you power both cameras from one cord, plus the big outdoor note: if you’re plugging it in outside, you’ll need Blink’s weather resistant power cord. Then I get into the stuff you REALLY need to know before you buy it. The panoramic view does not record clips — it only works in live view. And to make it even more frustrating, you still need a subscription for the panoramic view feature to work at all. Each camera can record clips individually, but the main “Arc” benefit is really just seeing both cameras stitched together in one wide live view so you’re not opening two feeds. My hope is Blink eventually adds panoramic recording with a firmware update, because right now the value is pretty limited.
