This may be one of my favorite security cameras of 2025, and it’s mostly because it breaks the mold. In this video I’m checking out the aosu Solar Wall Light Cam Pro—an outdoor security camera that’s designed to look like a deck light, so it blends in way better than the usual “camera stuck on the wall” look. It’s got a 3K (5MP) lens with color night vision, a built-in 400-lumen light, two-way audio, a siren, and local storage via microSD (up to 128GB) with an IP65 weather rating. I also go over why the solar setup is actually pretty unique here. The solar panel can be mounted on the camera, or you can unbolt it and mount it somewhere else with the included setup, which is huge because most solar cams limit where you can place them. The battery is rated up to 4 months and only needs about 1.5 hours of sun per day to stay topped off, even charging in lower-light/overcast conditions. I show daytime and nighttime samples, walk through the app (AI detection, zones, notification modes, light controls), and I wrap up with the big thing to watch out for: the camera view is fixed, so you’ve got to be mindful of placement since you can’t angle the lens after it’s mounted.
