About This Video

In this video I’m walking through one of the biggest changes in ProPresenter v20: Workspaces. A Workspace isn’t just another library—it’s an entirely separate ProPresenter configuration you can swap to with a dropdown. That means different media, macros, looks, themes, stage layouts, and even different screen/output configurations for different gathering types like weekend services, midweek events, or separate teams sharing the same machine. I show you how to switch Workspaces, how to import an older ProPresenter folder as a “legacy” workspace, and why the new file location change matters. I also demonstrate bringing in my Crazy Amazing Designs ProPresenter template as a second Workspace so you can go from a blank install to a fully built setup in minutes—pre-built looks, macros, stage display layouts, and multiview included. Then I cover the practical stuff: most settings are unique per Workspace (network, MIDI/devices, etc.), licensing carries over, and Workspaces autosave. Finally, I explain how to duplicate a working Workspace so you don’t rebuild your screen configuration from scratch, plus the best current backup method (copy the Workspace folder). ProPresenter still isn’t cloud-enabled, and I don’t recommend running ProPresenter files inside cloud-sync folders. And no—Workspaces aren’t controllable from the API, and honestly that’s by design, because switching Workspaces mid-service would be like swapping cars at 70 mph.
