About This Video

ProPresenter v18 had a rough start for some people, but in this video I walk through what’s new now that the Renewed Vision team has stabilized things. I’ve heard from a lot of users that v18.1 has actually been the most stable ProPresenter release we’ve had in over a year—of course, your hardware and setup still matter. If you’re running into issues, I always recommend reaching out to Renewed Vision Support because they genuinely understand what ProPresenter is doing under the hood and can usually get you sorted fast. The biggest new feature is AirCast receiving built right into ProPresenter as an input source. That means I can connect an iPhone (or a Mac screen) to ProPresenter like I’m casting to an Apple TV—without extra tools like the NDI Toolkit. I demo mirroring my phone, bringing it in through the Media Bin as a Video Input, and using it like any other input (including audio options and password protection). I also cover the new Windowed Output mode, which lets you pop out audience or stage outputs into draggable preview windows—super handy for certain workflows, even though I wish it could “stay on top” while editing. Finally, I touch on macOS Sequoia now being recommended for ProPresenter v18 and why updates are a constant cycle with Apple, Blackmagic, and Renewed Vision.
