About This Video

When you do a fresh install of ProPresenter and it opens up to basically nothing, it’s honestly kind of scary—no playlists, no library items, no media bin, no screens, no outputs, no macros, and none of your streaming stuff is set up. That’s exactly why I built my ProPresenter Quick Start Template: it gives you a pre-built ProPresenter layout so you’re not starting from zero. In this video I walk through what’s inside the template—announcement slides, songs in a playlist, multi-view setups, audience/stream/stage outputs, and stage display layouts for different moments like pre/post service, worship, and sermon. I also show how the template uses macros and Looks to automate your live stream output. For example, the first slide of songs in my template triggers a macro that sets the worship output, so you can send lower thirds to the stream while keeping full output in the room (and you can choose chroma key vs alpha key depending on NDI vs a physical switcher). Then I cover installation for both legacy ProPresenter (pre-7.20) and the newer ProPresenter v20+ workspace system, including why you should move the imported template out of Downloads and into the proper user workspaces folder. Finally, I point you to the documentation for transferring things like libraries, playlists, themes, and configuration files from an old folder into the new template.
